We headed up to the visitor's center and had fun exploring the displays and learning more about the mountain and the eruption. The kids did a Jr. Ranger activity and we also listened to one of the talks given by a ranger up there.
True to Oregon/Washington weather the mountain was covered in clouds that day so we did not bother venturing any further up that day. We did get a couple of good views of the Mountain over the next week or so though.
This mountain has given scientists so many wonderful opportunities to learn about the earth, and how it can change so quickly. God is so good to have given us just a small glimpse as to what could have happened during Noah's flood!
