What a wonderful reason we have to celebrate today! We spent this past week at camp (I'll post about that later) spending some wonderful time of fellowship with dear friends and learning more about the underground/persecuted church. How blessed we are to awaken this morning with the freedom to celebrate this day openly while our brothers and sisters around the world are starving, being taken to prison, tortured and even killed for their faith!
We are spending our day reading God's word, worshiping together as a family, and reading various books together. Tonight we will attend the evening service at our local church.
We did start our morning with a fun Easter breakfast. We skipped the egg/basket hunt, but did make up a family basket. My Auntie J had sent a package for the kids, so they each had a goodie bag on their plate too.
I made up these eggs from a cup cake book that I have. I will NOT be trying these again, I was lucky to get six to turn out! They are cute though!
