This week Miss E decided that she was ready to donate her hair to Locks of Love (again). So the two of us went out to get haircuts on Saturday afternoon.
Her hair sure had gotten long, she was able to get 12 inches cut off!
She is enjoying having shorter hair again and has been told by a couple of people that the shorter hair makes her look older.
This was her third time donating her hair. The first time she heard about Locks of Love she was five years old and was determined to do it as soon as she could.
Wow, I am so impressed that a child her age has such a servant's heart and so wants to do for others! May God bless her always! :-)

That's wonderful! I just did the same thing!! My hair was below my waist and I cut 11" off of it so it's still rather long. But it's a blessing to know you are helping someone in need! What a sweet heart! <3
ReplyDeleteAdorable Miss E! And what a blessing for someone else. Love you all!
ReplyDeleteHi Gabe! Loved seeing this post and what a blessing to someone in need! Locks of Love is awesome! My girl has also donated to them in past. However, her hair takes a long time to grow so it's already been 2 years since her last donation. Seeing Miss E today reminded her that it was time to measure and sure enough she's getting closer to that 10 inch mark! Thanks for posting about this and inspiring others, like my family, with your encouraging words. You have a precious family, and we love reading your blog because you care so much and clearly desire to serve the Lord and bless others in the process :)
ReplyDeleteGod truly has given Miss E a servants heart and she just loves to give to others. It is such a blessing to see her setting a good example for her siblings (and for me too, I managed to do it the last two times with her, but not this time!). Your sweet comments have been an encouragement and blessing to her. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI will be having a similar post soon as Megan has been begging for me to take her to get her hair cut again. I see you have a link to that book you were talking about on your page so I will go check that out. Thanks for your comments.
ReplyDeleteHey, I just did the same thing! Way to go Miss E :) She looks beautiful :)
